Healthcare Living Lab Catalonia (HCLLC) is a Living Lab specialized in the healthcare and social sector whose mission is to bring together healthcare centers, technology centers and Living Labs from all over Catalonia to connect them with innovative people and organizations and thus facilitate the prototyping, testing and validation of their solutions based on their own methodology, quickly, efficiently and maximizing the results obtained.
The HCLLC offers its services to advise and guide methodologically start-ups, SMEs and companies that want to prototype, test and/or validate innovative solutions in real environments and with end-users in the fields of medical devices, in vitro diagnostics and digital health.
It is an initiative of the Technological Center Leitat, which has the mission to turn Catalonia into a Living Lab of reference and, for this purpose, has a vast network of collaborating entities; on the one hand, the main health centers and referents in innovation throughout the country and, on the other hand, the main associations of health and social centers in the country.
Terrassa Health Impact program, promoted by the City Council of Terrassa, from the Innovation Service, and the Technological Center Leitat, was created with the aim of promoting and accelerating innovative technological projects of companies in the field of health.
This accompaniment to help projects reach the market offers a package of specific training on business model and a capsule of customized advanced services, to be chosen by the project, on support at the technological level in the preparation of proofs of concept or support at the clinical level in the validation of clinical need and clinical flow.
Thanks to this program, which in 2025 has already completed its second edition, the improvement of the competitiveness of the participating companies has been boosted and economic activity has been generated around technological innovation in the field of health.
