The Hub for Social and Health Innovation (HiSS) is a joint initiative of the Terrassa Health Consortium and the Joan Costa i Roma Foundation, framed within the Integrated Care Strategy of the Department of Health and Social Rights, and with the collaboration of the future Agency for Integrated Social and Health Care of Catalonia.

The objective is clear: to promote innovative projects that respond to the real challenges of citizens and improve people’s quality of life. Through the Transforma Program, we offer personalized support to accelerate the maturation and implementation of these projects in the Catalan health and social system.

HiSS maximizes the efficiency and success of the projects by applying the “Healthcare Innovation Cycle” methodology of the CIMIT of Boston, adapted to Catalonia by CIMTI and Fundación Leitat. In addition, we facilitate validation in real environments and with end users, thanks to the experience of the Healthcare Living Lab Catalonia, and we provide individualized support and follow-up services, with training and working sessions with experts.

From Fundación Leitat, we support projects in all key phases: clinical validation, technology consulting, competition and business model analysis, intellectual property protection, regulation, communication and connection with investors. In this way, we help turn the best ideas into real solutions for society.
